Beer being poured

Best Breweries in Las Vegas

When the Natufians concocted an alcoholic gruel for ritualistic feasting, it is clear, 13,000 years later, they were on to something… For an amalgam of eons and millennia, humanity has found its great equalizer: Beer. The history of this beverage is expansive; robust, to say the least. Spanning every continent, every civilization, every celebration, every stadium, every milestone, and every heartbreak at a pub conceived by man. Any rabbit hole google search will reveal to any drunk pseudo anthropologist the true depth of this fermented alchemy’s biblical history on earth, but since National Beer Day is coming upon us on April 7th, let’s just say for all intents and purposes, there is more to learn about beer from drinking than reading. Don’t worry; we will vouch for you.

It’s no coincidence that Sin City houses one of the nation’s most comprehensive communities of craft beer aficionados. With the deep concentration of globally acclaimed chefs, sommeliers, and world-class drunks who’ve anchored business and pleasure in Las Vegas.

Amongst the city’s epic homage-laden soirées celebrating the foamy hop, such as the Water Street Oktoberfest, Motley Brew’s Downtown Brew Festival, and the great Nevada Beer Bash, National Beer Day is the only one Nevadans share with the nation. And as guests of Club de Soleil and honorary representatives of Sin City, you have an immense obligation to participate. After all, isn’t it worth celebrating perhaps the only thing all Americans can agree on at this point?

Below is a list we’ve compiled of some of the best breweries in town… so do the hop!

Beer Glasses

Crafthaus

197 E California Ave #130
Las Vegas NV 89104
Crafthausbrewery.com
702-888-1026

Featuring 24 taps of their own brewed craft beers, plus an arsenal of guest beers, cider, wine, and cold brews, it’s clear the owners Wyndee and David Forrest’s passion about building a community around quality driven beers is as authentic as their dizzying selection of ales. And this isn’t just our opinion- this brewery is both a crowd and critic pleaser garnering such accolades as Favorite Local Brewery and Readers Choice by Las Vegas Weekly.

Bad Beat

7380 Eastgate Rd #110
Henderson, NV 89011
Badbeatbrewing.com
702-463-4199

The only thing Henderson’s Booze District is more famous for than its many sordid nights is Bad Beat- an idea its owners say was ‘born out of our love for poker and craft beer.’ Check out their taproom, where they offer four of their own batches on tap year-round as well as eight rotating specialties and some gold ole classic board games to play. But pace yourself, or you may fold before sampling their wide array of foam tops.

Astronomy Aleworks

7350 Eastgate Rd #170
Henderson, NV 89011
Astronomyaleworks.com

‘We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars’ said a boozy Oscar Wilde, and Astronomy Aleworks, also in the Henderson Booze District, can attest to that. This place is cosmic with it’s ultra galactic science fiction theme whetting the palates of many Star Trek and Star Wars fans. But don’t let it be fantasy, any tour of this brewhouse’s 12 beers on tap will leave more stars in your eyes than Carl Sagan.

Lovelady Brewing Company

20 S Water Street
Henderson, NV 89015
Loveladybrewing.com
702-564-3030

Luck be a Lovelady tonight at Lovelady brewing. And after 20 years in business, you know she’s on your side. If 16 tap handles aren’t enough to entice you, this brewhouse’s unique rustic atmosphere allows guests to bring your own food.

Hudl Brewing Company

1327 South Main Street Suite 100
Las Vegas, NV 89104
Hudlbrewing.com
702-445-7100
Taking nods from the San Diego craft beer movement, this eclectic brewery’s cool Brooklyn vibes gives a lovely ambiance for a group of friends to HUDL while drinking… or while pulling one’s hair back as she vomits quality IPA. With 22 beers on tap spanning a diverse flavor spectrum, make sure to check out their signature Vanilla Oak Cream Ale or High Hatter Pineapple, which are both crowd favorites.

Mardi Gras Las Vegas

Mardi Gras Las Vegas

If a jaunt to The Big Easy this Mardi Gras is not in the cards head on over to Sin City for Mardi Gras Las Vegas, where you won’t have to work as hard for those beads but the sinning will be comparable. Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday,” reflecting the practice of the last night of eating rich, fatty foods before the ritual Lenten sacrifices and fasting of the Lenten season. Traditionally celebrated in New Orleans, the spirit of Mardi Gras has found its way further west in Las Vegas, and Club de Soleil is the perfect home base for all wannabe party gras visitors with it’s central location to the action. Although Mardi Gras normally falls on March 1, 2022, Mardi Gras Las Vegas in true Las Vegas fashion extends the festivities to span over a week. And with Las Vegas weather in March as temperate as it is, this timeline of festivities are appreciated by both tourists and locals alike.

Fat Tuesday Las Vegas

3799 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119

Begin your Fat Tuesday Las Vegas adventure with a sugar rush at Fat Tuesday Las Vegas where the libations are epic, the portions gigantic, and the servings are portable! That’s right, in Vegas it’s legal to take your drinks off site so stock up on your boozy fuel for the rest of the night by making this first pit stop. Take our shuttle to Tropicana on The Strip and head on over to Fat Tuesday Las Vegas at MGM Grand and you’re almost there!

Mardi Gras Celebration Las Vegas

Mardi Gras Parade at the Orleans Hotel
4500 W Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89103

On Tuesday Feb 25th, the casino will host a Mardi Gras Las Vegas parade where a live Dixieland band will blow the horn off the mundane as they serenade the casino floor with joy from 2:00pm-8:00pm. This annual celebration of mayhem is adorned in all the traditional fanfare one might come to expect from its southern counterpart. With some signature boozy cocktails to match, it will be hard deciphering this celebration from the one in New Orleans. Check back with The Orleans closer to the date of the event for updated pricing for admission. If it’s nippy outside, don’t fret, these festivities all take place indoors. Mardi Gras girls will be passing out those beads so make sure you have your game face on.

No Prohibition on Fun

1923 Prohibition Bar

3930 Las Vegas Blvd S STE 101, Las Vegas, NV 89119

If Las Vegas weather in March gets frosty during the day, save your energy for NOLA Nights at 1923 Prohibition Bar at Mandalay Bay. For years, Prohibition Bar has put its signature sordid fun on this Louisiana themed soiree with live music, burlesque dancers, and Mardi Gras inspired everything, the bead collecting here is always an unforgettable riot. Check it out on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 6 p.m.- 11 p.m. Admission prices are still TBA.

By now you probably need some sustenance to sop up all the boozy fun you’ve had.. and maybe a few moments to reflect on all the dignity you lost for those beads. Check out these savory outposts featuring some of the city’s best Creole cuisine.

Hot and Juicy

3663 S Las Vegas Blvd #590, Las Vegas, NV 89109

No Creole cuisine is not complete without some Louisiana crawfish and Hot and Juicy knows just how to serve this up in true southern fashion: HOT! Grab a bib and dig into some of the best seafood boils in town. Prices are reasonable but that lingering seafood smell isn’t- so try planning your crawfish towards the end of your day so you don’t smell too authentic during Mardi Gras Las Vegas.

Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar

5825 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89146

For some slightly elevated seafood from Hot and Juicy, check out Pier 88 Boiling Seafood and Bar. The southern boils here are fully customizable and offer some great Crab and other shellfish options. Check those market prices before gorging on too much… seafood can get expensive!

Crawfish Boil

Mississippi Mary’s Soul Food Cafe

3923 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102

This southern kitchen is as authentic as it gets, and the bevy of diners willing to make the 20 minute trek from Club De Soleil to grab some nosh at this eatery speaks volumes of the flavors being served up here daily. Among their extensive soul offerings this place is known city wide for having some mean gumbo. For something heartier, their chicken and waffles are also legendary. Top it all off with some delicious peach cobbler, sweet potato or pecan pie or banana pudding- all their desserts are worth the pilgrimage alone.

Saint Honore Donuts and Beignets

9460 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89147

There’s no sweet tooth better than a Louisiana one and Saint Honore Donuts and Beignets proves this nightly with their selection of fresh made to order beignets. Although Beignets are usually served in New Orleans as breakfast fare with powdered sugar on top, they hold up at all times of the day as a sweet treat. Like tradition, Saint Honore prepares them right before consumption to be eaten fresh and piping hot. In the United States, beignets have been synonymous with New Orleans Creole cuisine and is usually served as a dessert.

Housekeeping Week at Club de Soleil

Housekeeping Week at Club de Soleil

Not many people think about housekeepers when they enter a hotel or resort, but housekeeping and maintenance is one of the most difficult jobs there is. Lots of hard work goes into making sure rooms and suites are tidy, clean and safe for guests to stay in. Thanks to our Housekeepers and Maintenance crew, your rooms are just that.

Since 1981, showing appreciation for housekeepers and maintenance workers has become a sponsored holiday where companies often spend the entire week honoring their hard work and dedication to guests.

Eva Rodriguez is the Housekeeping Director for Club de Soleil and has been working in the hospitality industry for 25 years. For her this is a very important week for the industry as housekeeping and maintenance is the backbone of the resort and deserves to be recognized.

“This week means everything to me. I do recognize my entire team every single day because being a housekeeper is a very hard job and takes dedication,” said Rodriguez.

This year due to COVID-19, Housekeeping week looked a little bit different than previous years. However, we were still able to do fun things and give goodies to show our appreciation for housekeepers and maintenance staff!

We know that next year will be better than ever and we look forward to showing our appreciation to our amazing staff not just this one week but every day of the year. The next time you see a housekeeper or a maintenance worker give them a socially distanced wave or a smile.
